Or maybe call them Combat Dice.
It's been crazy but I haven't gotten as much done as I wish but work is continuing and here's little behind the scene peak.
Hit Dice have so many things that I think they could used for. For M3,I'm starting of with the 4 basic classes with roughly an old-school HD spread. So Fighter, d8; Thief and Cleric, d6; and Magic-User, d4. Instead of just a bucket of points until you die, I want to use them differently. They are a measure of a character's overall combat ability.
1. Initiative: That's right decide who goes first.
2. Base Weapon Damage: Basically, a variation on the Class based weapon damage.
3. Combat Sense: Because I don't know what to call it. Instead, of just using HD to get more HP. Characters have a lower and sort of static amount of HP which really won't change much. What this does is give a character a pool of dice to mitigate damage during a combat encounter. Characters have a number of dice equal to their level. Their class determines which die to roll. Characters may roll one die in a round when they are damage and reduce the amount of damage taken by the die roll to minimum of 1 HP.
That 's the gist of it. More crazy ideas on the way.
Thanks for your support.
I haven't posted here in a while so here's a quick little video. Life's been busy but things keep moving ahead..slowly.
Thanks being a part of this community.
I finally got this done. Thank you for patience. The day job and real life have been interesting but we're going to make it.
Hit the first milestone on the Rumble channel of 50 followers that means I need work a better looking studio. Plus there's a couple of other little things in there so give this video a look and leave your comments below.
Once again. Thanks for being part of this community.
The EZD6 arena on Rumble was a success (except for that part without audio but that's my fault).
So as members of this esteemed community, what other games would like to see kick around?
Currently on the schedule is Warlock and Barbaric. I'm intentionally keeping the games rules easy just to keep things moving.

Wow. July has been a busy and exciting month and there's more good stuff on the way. Let's do a little update on all the projects.
Second Edition Forgotten Tales of Sword & Sorcery: I almost done grinding my through the monster section with updates. Man, it was a real grind. Also, we had a few hiccups in play testing so back to the drawing board on a couple of bits.
White Bones: I posted a PDF but I'm playing around with slightly more expanded version. Subscribers will get it first here and then I'll thow it out to then general public for sale.
Murder, Magic, & Mayhem: Yeah. That one stalled but I did have an epiphany this week. I've scribbled down some notes. We'll see how that works out.
Mystery Side Project: Yeah, I've got another idea that I'm working as inspiration strikes. More than likely, it will be for Lamentations of the Flame Princess but there's a small chance that I might do a Shadowdark version. We shall see how it goes.
The other big things is the Rumble ...
Thanks for all your support and being a part of this community. There was some wild stuff this month.
I launched the Rumble Channel. https://rumble.com/c/c-3250172
Be sure to follow over there. Just like Locals, the followers, the more cool stuff that I can do which means more cool stuff that you get to see. I'm actually surprised at how it's going so far.
The blog was a little slow but then I didn't post as much as I did the previous month. So that's all on me. And work continues the second edition of Forgotten Tales. Of course, the day job was really busy and not as much got done as I would have liked.
July is Indie RPG Month. The first video is getting queued up on Rumble and more on the way. It's going to be an interesting month. And another Fish Story will be going live here pretty soon.
Thanks again for your support.
